Thomas J. Rosa, a 69 year old Milford resident and beloved husband of 41 years to Kathleen Cooke Rosa, passed away at home peacefully on Aug. 28, 2021. He was born in Stamford on May 10, 1952 and graduated from J.M. Wright Technical School, Class of 1970. Tom worked at S.N.E.T. for 25 years. In 2018 he retired from Honeywell Life Safety in Northford as a technical training supervisor. He was also a trainer at Executone where he was sent to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to train hospital personnel on the use and maintenance of Executone’s equipment. He loved his family, the Yankees and Giants, playing golf at The Orchard’s, chili dogs and black licorice, all animals great and small, and playing his guitar. In the 1970’s he was lead guitarist in a band called “Camel.” The band was hired to go on before the Blue Oyster Cult concert in Bridgeport as well as fronting for Sly & the Family Stone on their Northeastern tour. Tom was a member of the Walnut Beach Association, The Milford Senior Center, Woodruff Family YMCA, Griffin hospital Fitness Center, and the SNET Retirees Assoc. In addition to his wife Kathleen, he is survived by his son Joseph Thomas Rosa of New Haven, his daughter Jessica Cooke Rosa of Hoboken, N.J., granddaughter Julia Kathleen Rosa and her mother Michelle Langella of Olivebridge, N.Y., brothers-in-law Edward Cooke of Bluffen, S.C. and Robert Cooke of Sun City AZ., niece Megan Cooke of Boston, MA, nephew Lex Cooke of Santa Monica CA, and his cat Milo. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph C. Rosa and Elizabeth Collins Rosa and his father & mother-in-law J. Edward Cooke and Gertrude Hennessey Cooke.
