Thomas J. Metcalf, 68, Anderson, died August 17, 2010 at Community Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born July 30, 1942 in Sullivan, Indiana, and lived in this area for most of his life Thomas retired from the Muncie Star Press. He was Elvis’ #1 Fan.
Survivors include his wife, whom he married November 23, 1997, Camellia Hill Metcalf; son, Bradley Juliet Metcalf of Marshalltown, IA; step-sons, Michael Mindy McIlwain of Anderson, Jeffery Beth McIlwain of New Castle and Rodney Melisa McIlwain of Anderson; mother, Marjorie Gilbreath Hoover of Muncie; two brothers, one sister, six step-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Harold Metcalf and step-father, Joseph Hoover.
