Thomas J. “Jim” Woolums, 76, of Anderson, passed away, December 23, 2016 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus Anderson, IN. He was born, April 1, 1940 in Hagerstown, IN , and resided most of his life in Anderson. He was retired from Delco Remy division of General Motors after 40 years of service. He served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association, and was a self described (Gear Head) who loved building, customizing and showing his street rods; several of which earned him top awards. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Koelling) Woolums of Anderson, whom he married on May 23, 1977, 2 children, Dollyanne Tullis of Anderson, Thomas (Mary Jo) J. Woolums Jr. of Anderson, step-children, Joy (Fiance Jerry Helms) Gillaspy of Indianapolis, Josh (Stacey) Gillaspy of Indianapolis, grandchildren, Todd Tullis, Tobi Tullis, Tawni Tullis, Tayler (Austin) Padgett, Zachery Woolums, one step-grandson, Luke Gillaspy several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Jim is also survived by many car buddies, especially his long time friend Tom Dunlap. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father Jesse Butler, and 2 brothers and 1 sister.
