Thomas J. Granata of Boca Raton passed away at Hospice by the Sea surrounded by his loving family. Tom went home to be with his Lord on December 27, 2011. He was 80 years old.
Tom was born on March 11, 1931 in Akron, Ohio where he was raised and educated; he graduated from North Hill High School and attended Kent State University. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Tom retired to Florida, which he loved and enjoyed for the past 16 years.
Tom was the co-owner of Granata Bar and Cardinal Bar, then founded Hour’s, Inc which became Ameritemps, a temporary help company; where he retired from after 42 years as President. Tom as an avid golfer; had a hole-in-one at Barberton Brookside.
He leaves behind his loving wife Carole; sister Angelia Jiambai, nephew Joe, son Tom Granata, Jr., daughter Angela Stasik; step-daughters Diana and Heather; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Tom was preceeded in death by his brothers Tony and Michael.
