Thomas Henry Ratliff, III , “Tom” age 59 of Millersville died on March 16, 2011 of a sudden illness at Shock Trauma, University of Maryland Hospital. He now rests in the loving arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ. Tom was born in Lexington, KY on April 14, 1951 to Thomas H. Ratliff, Jr. (deceased) and Nell Ratliff. Tom was a 1969 graduate of Severna Park High School. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Sociology at the University of Rochester and his MBA in Finance at Rochester Institute of Technology. During his career he was a Vice President of Finance and received many awards. Tom loved to read and was an avid historian. He studied the Bible often and had a strong faith in Jesus Christ. Most of all, he loved his family and was very proud of his sons. In addition to his mother, Tom is survived his wife Mai and his three sons Thomas H. Ratliff, IV , Michael J. Ratliff, Matthew J. Ratliff and two step-children Jackie and Jennifer. He is survived by his sister, Kim Rawley; step-mother Rebecca Ratliff and by Thomas the IV’s four children, Blake, Eian, Sierra and Thomas H. Ratliff, V and Jennifer’s children, Samantha and Ashlyn. He loved his grandchildren very much.
