Thomas Harold Williams, Jr. was the first son born to the late Thomas Harold and Ella Edwards Williams. He was born in Siler City, North Carolina, on January 5, 1940. He entered our Father’s house of many rooms on Saturday, January 28, 2017.
As a resident of Raleigh’s Oberlin community, Harold attended the Oberlin Elementary School through the eighth grade. Afterwards he attended J. W. Ligon High School.
Upon graduating from Ligon, Harold matriculated at North Carolina State University where he was one of the first Black students to attend. He graduated from N. C. State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics.
His career path led him away from his family and Raleigh to other areas of the country. His new home became Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where he had secured a job with Phillips Petroleum Company.
