Thomas (Tom) Henry La Fontaine, age 83, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022.
Tom was born August 7, 1939 in Little Black, WI to Dave and Irene (White) La Fontaine. He attended schools in the Stetsonville and Medford area. He married Sharon Vroman on March 26, 1982 in Wautoma, WI.
Tom was an over the road truck driver for 52 years, driving for Marathon Cheese, Schneider, and as an Owner-Operator leased to Apollo, Packerland and Sparhawk. Tom was extremely passionate about being a safe, professional driver with over 4 million perfect miles.
Tom loved spending time with family and friends each deer season, hunting with the Swamsauger Hunting Club in Tripoli, WI.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Irene La Fontaine, his father David La Fontaine, his sister Midge Lamberty (La Fontaine) and his brother-in-law Roy Lamberty.
He is survived by his wife Sharon La Fontaine; brother Dave La Fontaine, sister-in-law Gail La Fontaine (Hessefort); sister Karen Yates (La Fontaine) and brother-in-law Ken Webb; children: Laurie Bryan (La Fontaine) and her husband Packard, Tom La Fontaine and his wife Christina, Brett Kaehn, Steve Kaehn and his fiancé Brooke. He is further survived by 13 grandchildren: Bethany, Dani Lee, Whitney, Brandy, Samantha, Christopher, Ashley, Alicia, Andrea, Thomas, Macie, Bree, Tarek and 13 great grandchildren.
