Thomas Hayden Evans, age 93, died on December 24, 2018 in Raleigh, NC surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Akron Ohio and lived in the Akron area for 80 years before moving to Kettering, OH and then Raleigh, NC.
Tom retired from Goodyear Aerospace after 30+ years and was a proud veteran, having retired from the US Navy Reserves as a LCDR after active and reserve duty.
He was a loving husband, Dad, Grandpa and Papa and was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Fran, of 62 years, sister Nancy Smith and brother Silas Evans. Surviving him are his children Tom Evans, Donna (Bob) Yeager, Diane Evans (Paul Gallagher) and Ellen (Ken) Soellner; grandchildren Kelly (Daniel) Richardson, Katie (Patrick) Williams, Kaylee (Jacob) Welter, Rachel Soellner, Karen Soellner and Malachi Holley; great-grandsons Wyatt and Graham Richardson, and Camden Williams, and many nieces and nephews.
