Thomas George Jude Townsend, Sr., passed away Sunday January 19, 2020 at Virtua Hospital in Willingboro at the age of 64. Born in Albany, NY Thomas was a longtime resident of Burlington. He served honorably in the Merchant Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a cable contractor for Comcast for many years until retiring. In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing and just being outdoors.
He was predeceased by his parents, Edgar Leo Townsend, Sr. and Thelma Vivian (nee Davis) Townsend and his brother Timothy Patrick Townsend. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Sanderson, son Thomas George Townsend Jr., daughter Christina Marie Townsend, granddaughter Jasmine Morris and brothers John Michael Townsend and Edgar Leo Townsend.
