Clear Spring, MD – Thomas Franklin “Tom” Altman, 71, of Clear Spring, MD passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at his home.
Born, September 28, 1940 in Frederick, MD to the late Helen Louise Hart Altman.
He was a 1958 graduate of Clear Spring High School Clear Spring, MD.
He was employed by Jamison Door Co. Hagerstown, MD for over 44 years until his retirement.
He was a Christian.
He was a life member of the Clear Spring Vol. Fire Co. where he served as Past President and Past Chief. He was very active for many years. He was also a life member of Clear Spring Vol. Ambulance Club.
He was very active with the Washington County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association where he served as Past President and held many other positions. He was inducted into the Maryland State Fireman’s Association Hall of Fame.
He enjoyed hunting and watching his grandsons play baseball.

Daughter In Law: Debbie Altman of Clear Spring, MD
Sister: Shirley Hovermale and her husband Raymond “Poke” of Hagerstown, MD
Grandchildren: J.T. and Dylan Altman, Cole and Cheyenne Jesson and Madelyn Lynch
He is also survived by a very loyal friend Dave Irvin, Sr.
