Thomas Franklin Gill, 81, of Clyde, died at his home on Sunday, December 7, 2014.

Mr. Gill was born in Bloomville, Ohio on February 17, 1933 to Allen R. and Laura (Shellhorn) Gill. He graduated from Clyde High School in 1951. He was a US Navy Veteran.

On August 25, 1956, he married Barbara Stidham. She preceded him in death on February 17, 2004.

Tom enjoyed many outdoor activities including camping, boating, hunting, landscaping and gardening. He, along with his wife, founded Camp Seneca, being associated with it from 1965-1973.

He liked to go to his Pennsylvania property and spend time. He had the natural ability to create something out of nothing, using all types of materials. His greatest joy was to spend time with his family.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy (Dennis) Gohl of Jerry City; Julie (Larry) Beard of Clyde and one son, Joe (Cheryl) Gill of Clyde. Seven grandchildren, Mike (Sheri) Hawk; Tom (Amanda) Hawk; Jason (Amanda) Beard; Kevin Beard; Meghan (Erik) Birkholz; Mindy Gill; Macy Gill; seven great-grandchildren, Shelby Lynn Hawk; Chloe Hawk; Shelby Ann Hawk; Leroy Hawk; Adalynn Beard; Kaden Beard and Lincoln Gill. Also surviving are siblings, Clyde Gill; Marjorie Saville and Gerald (Paula) Gill all of Clyde. One sister-in-law, Patricia Gill survives in Bellevue.

Mr. Gill was preceded by his parents, his wife, and one brother, Robert Gill.
