He was a graduate of Latrobe High School Class of 1960 and went on to own and operate several businesses including, the Red Rooster, Harty’s Pub, Pier 30, and Sorry Charlie’s Restaurants, among other entertainment venues.

Tom was fun loving, always full of jokes, good times, and had an infectious laugh. Despite what others thought, he always took pride in his fashion sense. He was a lover of food and restaurants, as well as an avid card player who loved to compete.  He spent his free time playing  tennis, corn hole and mini golf.

One of his favorite pastimes was cheering for the Univ. of Michigan, the Chicago Cubs and attending Steelers games with his brother and his family.

He and his wife loved to spend time vacationing in St. Martin and Ft. Lauderdale. Tom and his kids also have fond memories of their annual trips to the Jersey shore.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers James Wylie Hartman 3rd and Dr. H. King Hartman.

Tom is survived by his wife Sandra (Gutman) Hartman, his son Tom Hartman, Jr. (Jen), daughter Tracy Hartman Pagliei (Al), son, Lance Hartman (Kristy), and daughter Carrie Hartman Derdich (Jaison), two stepdaughters, Denise Glaser (Dave) and Dana Cunningham (Art), fourteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
