Thomas Edward Morris, Jr., “Tom” to his friends and “Eddy” to his family, passed away January 12, 2022 at Community Hospital South surrounded by love and family. He was born September 7, 1958 to Thomas E. Morris, Sr. and Bobbie (Alte) Ott and the world was made brighter by him being in it.
Tom was a son, brother, uncle, but his favorite title was Dad to Thomas E. Morris, III (“Trey”) and Taylor Morris.
Tom loved listening to live music and dancing. He enjoyed hiking, photography, cooking, entertaining, and was a great host at parties. We are going to miss the pies he made for special occasions. More than anything else he loved spending time with his children.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Scott Rogers. He is survived by the loves of his life, son Trey and daughter Taylor, bonus Mom, Norma Morris, brothers, Raymond Alte and Michael McGinley, sisters, Nicki Brewer, Sharon Mead, Yvonne Scott, Donna Alte, Susan Cornellius, and Karen Morris, many nieces and nephews, and hundreds of friends and dancing partners that he considered family.
Eddy, you were our sunshine and a joy to all who knew you. We know you are dancing in the sky.
