Mr. Thomas Edison Pecor Jr. age 55, of Stratford , beloved husband of Sharon Beach Pecor, died Saturday January 9, 2010 at home, surrounded by his loving family after a long illness.
Born on January 28, 1954 in Milford , he was the son of the late Thomas and Jean Cook Pecor. Thomas served with pride and honor in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a long time resident of Milford and truck driver for the city of Milford for 28 years before his retirement. He was also the owner of Toms Home Repair. Tom played softball for many teams throughout Milford and had coached baseball and basketball in Stratford for his children. He was a member of the American Legion Post 196 Milford.
Besides his beloved wife Sharon of 32 years, survivors include three sons. Thomas E. Pecor III and his wife Jasmine of Milford, Justin Pecor and his fiancé’ Rebecca Guggenheim of Stratford , and Matthew Pecor and his wife Heather of San Clemente, CA; two granddaughters Andrea’ and Cailey Pecor of Milford . Three brothers and a sister; Michael Powers (Maryann) of Worcester, VT, Glenda Delle (Lanny) of York, PA, Roy Pecor of Milford, William Pecor (Christine) of Sneads Ferry, NC and Timothy Pecor of Newport, VT. Also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Jessica Pecor and his nephew Roy Coover III.
