Thomas E. Kelley, 89, Anderson, died February 15, 2011 at Meadowbrooke Rehab Center & Suites after an extended illness.
He was born December 7, 1921 in Lambasas, Texas, and resided in Anderson most his life. Thomas served his country in the National Guard. He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 34 years. He was a member of Mounds Baptist Church; Eastside Club and Rooster Club. Thomas was also a member of the Anderson Trustee Board.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas Leslie Kelley of Anderson, Donald Wayne Kelley Karen of Middletown and Richard Leroy Kelley Shirley of Alexandria; siblings, Harley Kelley, Geraldine Hendricks, Jack Kelley Shirley, Wayne Kelley and Rosella Rhodes; sister-in-law, Bonnie Boyd; grandchildren, Timmy Kelley, Scotty Kelley, Vicki Lynn Kelley, Amber L. Schatzberg Kevin and Sean P. Kelley Milica; several great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Anna Marie Rushton Kelley; brothers, Walt Raines, Clinton Kelley, Harold Kelley and Don Boyd; sisters, Bonnie Learns, Ruby Kelley, Imogene Hartman and infant sister, Oline Kelley; and parents, Avery & Rosa Deer Kelley.
