Thomas E. Freeman, 82, of New Whiteland, passed away February 3, 2018. He was born to the late Denzil and Imogene (Lane) Freeman on April 26, 1935 in Winamac, IN. In 1955 Thomas enlisted into the United States Navy.
After returning home, he married his sweetheart, Sandy Moody in 1960. Thomas went to work for RCA as a draftsman. He worked for them for 33 years, retiring in 1996. Thomas enjoyed a good game of golf. He loved to go fishing and pick strawberries at the strawberry patch. He was very skillful with wood working. Thomas loved to spend his winters down in Florida. However, his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Thomas leaves behind a loving wife, Sandy Freeman of New Whiteland; three children, Jeanie Freeman of New Whiteland, Lori (Ron) Haarmann of York, NE, and Julie (Donnie) Rodgers of Whiteland; one sister, Joan (Mac) Byer of Knox, IN; three brothers, John Freeman, Carl Freeman, and Jerry Freeman all of Winamac; five grandchildren, Alex (Natalie) Freeman, Abby Haarmann, Shelby (Steven Nix) Skinner, Kyle Haarmann, Lucy Haarmann, and Keelie (Josh Schmidt) Rodgers; and great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Willow, Brycen, Tanner, and one on the way.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; twin brothers, Wilbur and Willard Freeman; and a sister, Ruth Freeman.
