Attorney Thomas DiRuzza, 93, of Manchester, beloved husband of the late Mary (Progana) DiRuzza died on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Tom was born on February 5, 1923 in Fontana Liri, Italy, son of the late Antonio and Antonia DiRuzza. He immigrated to the United States in March of 1939 settling in Fall River, Massachusetts and later moved to Manchester where he had lived for over 60 years. Tom earned his B.A. degree from Providence College and later his law degree from Boston University. He was a veteran of WW II serving his country in the US Army. Tom was a strong linguist, speaking French and Italian fluently. At the end of the war, he was assigned to a Repatriation Team in Grenoble, France where he assisted in the resettling of displaced persons in Europe. He began his career as an Attorney working for Travelers Insurance and later became the Clerk of the Superior Court in Rockville. Tom was a longtime Communicant of St.
