Thomas D. Corcoran, age 82, of Stratford, CT passed away on Tuesday, July 29th. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Molly Corcoran. She was the love of his life. They grew up together on James Street in Bridgeport. Tommy, as he was known, served our country with pride and distinction in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany in the mid 50’s.
After returning from Germany, he began his career at Sikorsky Aircraft and worked there until his retirement. Tommy remained involved with Sikorsky Aircraft as a member of the Golden Wings Retirees. Tommy and Molly built their life around their families. They provided them with endless love and support and were an example of a life well lived. Tommy had a plethora of jokes and his humor entertained all who knew him. He was well traveled and enjoyed walking around the pond next to his home. He exuded a postive outlook on life and when he was sick never did he complain.
Tommy had a special place in his heart for his sister RoseMary. They had a special bond throughout their life that will endure forever.Survivors include his sister, RoseMary Striebe of Fairfield. His nephew, William Striebe, his nieces MaryAnn Provey, Teresa O’Reilly and Kim Striebe, as well as his brothers-in-law Pastor John Giannattasio, of Bridgeport and Joey Giannattasio. of Florida; and dear friends.
