Thomas C. Moshage, 61, of rural Oglesby, passed away Friday, March 12, 2021, at his home. Tom was born June 27, 1959 at St. Mary’s Hospital in LaSalle to Walter Gustav and Jutta Ilona (Henniges) Moshage. He was a graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School.
He married Kathy (LaGere) Given on January 18, 2007, in Las Vegas. Tom began his career at Carus Chemical Company during high school and recently celebrated 45 years with the company. He started out as a lab technician and later held the positions of process supervisor, production plant superintendent, and plant project engineer. Tom enjoyed bowling, woodworking, reading, and riding his motorcycle. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy; four children, Jessica (Pete) Fiocchi of Princeton, Jason Bowman and Christopher Bowman both of Indiana, and Brooks (Nichole) Bowman of South Dakota; four grandchildren, Dylan, Gracelyn, Bryce and Kameryn; one sister, Gabriele (Dean) Taylor of Rocklin, CA; two brothers, Ralph (Marlene) Moshage of rural Utica and Chris (Susan) Moshage of Elk Grove, CA and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dorothy Nicole Moshage.
