Thomas C. “Tom” Barrett, age 80, of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 at his residence.
Tom was born on March 4, 1938, the son of Fred and Mable (Daily) Barrett, both deceased. Tom was a graduate of the Fowler High School class of 1956. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. On August 17, 1963, he married the love of his life, Marva Sondgerath who survives. Tom worked as an Indiana Conservation Officer for 25 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Indiana Snowmobile Association and loved farming, hunting, fishing and bird watching.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Marva, his daughter Kim (Ken) Prieboy of Monticello, a grandson Michael Skinner of Monticello and a sister Marsha Gardner of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Eva Maroz and 4 brothers, Robert “Grinny” Barrett, Kenneth “ Whity” Barrett, Jerry “Jaws” Barrett and Ronnie Barrett.
