Thomas “Butch” Hines, Sr., 68, a 42 year resident of Glen Burnie died on May 12, 2011 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Butch was born in Baltimore, MD in 1942. He served in the US Navy from 1960-1962 on the USS Intrepid. Butch was the owner and operator of his own truck for a truck driving company. Later, he owned and operated Faye’s Sub Shop with his wife Faye.
Butch was a member of Vintage Tin and Lost in the 50’s old time car clubs. His hobbies included racing stock cars at Dorsey Speedway, and watching the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles play. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Faye Hines (nee Harwood); two sons, Thomas “Butch” Hines, Jr. of Severn and Michael Hines of Baltimore; two grandsons, Kyle Hines of Severn and Kody Hines of Glen Burnie; mother, Jean Stilling of Pasadena; and four brothers, Gene, Anthony and Andrew Stilling all of Pasadena, and Jimmy Stilling of Florida. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Corbett Hines.
