Thomas Bonilla, 76 of Bethlehem passed away peacefully on Saturday May 6, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Maria (Diaz) Bonilla for 40 years.
Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Juan and Marceliana (Guzman) Bonilla. Thomas was a graduate of Montclair State College where he studied Psychology. He was a devoted Minister in the Lehigh Valley for most of his life serving at Iglesia Smirna del Señor Pentecostal, El Tabernaculo in Bethlehem and various hospitals and hospice organizations.
Survivors: in addition to his loving wife Maria, children Nildalia Bonilla Alicea and her husband Angel of Florida, Milca Bonilla Bermudez of New Jersey, Thomas Bonilla, Jr. and his wife Katherine of Bethlehem, Hector Ilarraza and his wife Lourdes of Florida and Aileen Ilarraza of Bethlehem; many brothers and sisters and his 13 loving grandchildren and 29 glorious great-grandchildren. Thomas was preceded in death by his son Samuel Ilarraza and brothers Angel and Jose Bonilla.
