Thomas Benard Newton, 79, died on Sunday, October 30, 2016. He was a native and resident of Clarke County, AL.
Thomas attended school in Thomasville, AL and early in life, worked as an electrician in construction. He continued working as an electrician, retiring from Ingalls Shipyard. Thomas also worked for a time with Linden Lumber Company. He enjoyed the opportunity to teach some of his children the trade of an electrician.
Thomas was a member of Mt Vernon Baptist Church, Atkinson, AL and attended Grove Hill Baptist Church.
He was an avid animal lover and enjoyed riding horses back in the day.
Thomas was an easy going person who would give you the shirt off his back and expect nothing in return.
His family loved him dearly and Thomas loved them and instead of saying BYE, he would always say………..
“YA’LL BE CAREFUL!”
