He graduated from Madison Heights High School and attended Anderson University. He was a member of Lindberg Road Church of Christ. He was a Kentucky Colonel and an amateur radio operator. He was a Bass musician and loved to read. After retirement, he enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. He was very active with Feed the Children.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years: Theresa Symoens Shryock. Two Daughters: Catina & husband Jason Jessup of Anderson. Brittanie Shryock and special friend, Donnie Robey of Indianapolis. Mother: Nadine Mainord Shryock Savage of Anderson. Two brothers: Wendell R. Shryock Jr. & wife Carol of Phoenix, Arizona. Fred W. Shryock & wife Jan of Anderson. Three grandchildren: Marlie Nicole Hall, Allison Paige Jessup and Mallory Elizabeth Jessup, all of Anderson.
Several nieces, nephews and many special friends. He was preceded by his father: Wendell Royce Shryock in 1979. Grandparents: Mr & Mrs. T.B. Shryock.
