Brother Thomas Autry Overstreet, 75, passed away on September 10, 2016. He was a native and resident of Clarke County, AL.  Bro. Thomas was a member of  Walker Springs Road Baptist Church.  In the early days he farmed with his father and later worked in the logging business.  Bro. Thomas was called to preach in 1973 and his first church was Grace Chapel in Coffeeville, AL.  He and his wife , Janet, spent eleven years at the next church, Mount Springs in Clanton, AL.  Bro. Thomas was an avid “coon hunter”, and wrote articles for “Coon Hunters For Christ.”  He also “showed dogs”.  His passion was the Bible and witnessing.  Bro. Thomas had a favorite response if anyone aksed him how he was doing…..”I’M HEAVEN BOUND WITH THE HAMMER DOWN AND ENJOYING THE JOURNEY.”
