Thomas A. Visco, Sr., 81, of Scottsdale passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10th, 2015. He was born on May 6th, 1934 in Detroit, MI to the late Carlo and Angeline Visco. Loving husband married to the late Carol L. Visco for nearly 54 years, father of four and grandfather of eight. Tom moved to Arizona from Michigan in 1941. He attended Phoenix Technical School where he graduated in 1952. He attended Arizona State University and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Education in 1957. He was a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity during his college years. Tom was an educator for over 52 years. He began his teaching career at Creighton Elementary school in 1957. He retired from the Phoenix Union High School district in the mid 1990’s where he had taught at Phoenix Union High School, Maryvale and Camelback High Schools as well as serving as an Administrator for the district. In addition, he also taught for over 30 years in the Reading Department at Phoenix College. Tom was an avid ASU football fan and supporter of the Sun Devil Club for more than 30 years. As a season ticket holder he attended as many of the ASU football games as he could. Tom was a great man.
