Thomas Andrew Grasty, 29, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 10, 2022 while recovering from life altering injuries he received in a catastrophic motor vehicle accident in 2019. Tom was born on June 9, 1992 to Charles and Susan (Daliessio) Grasty and was a lifelong resident of Garnet Valley. A 2010 graduate of Garnet Valley High School, Tom was active in many team sports. In 2019 he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he was a proud member of their rugby team. Sports, powerlifting and physical fitness were his passions. A natural at many sports, ice hockey, golf and football were his favorites. Not only was he a huge Montreal Canadiens fan and a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, but he was also extremely knowledgeable with player and team statistics which he loved to share with other sports enthusiasts. He received a job offer as a statistician for a professional football team, but injuries from the accident prevented him from accepting it. A life cut short; he wasn’t given the opportunity to pursue this as his dream career. He never spoke unkindly of anyone and believed everyone’s intentions were good. Tom was a true empath with an enormous heart. Tom is preceded in death by his brother Charles Grasty who died in 2019. There is no doubt that these two special angels are together in Heaven watching over us. Also predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Joan Daliessio and his paternal grandparents, Andrew and Mary Grasty. He is survived by his parents, Charles and Susan Grasty, who deeply miss both their sons; Also survived by his aunts and uncles, Karen and Ed Cardow, Maryann and Bill Harden, Victoria Pompeo and Carol and Fred Grasty; cousins, Emily and Samantha Cardow, Sarah and Mike Brumbaugh, Laurie and Brandon Grasty and Gina and Gregory Pompeo; and his Goddaughter, Rylee Brumbaugh who meant the world to him and he will always hold a special place in her heart. He is forever her guardian angel.
