Thomas A. Durkin III, 70, of Carefree section of Berkeley Twsp., NJ passed away on May 3, 2015 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Thomas was born in NYC, NY and lived with his family in Matawan and, Long Branch NJ before moving to Berkeley Twsp., NJ in 2009. Tom attended PS 11 Grammer School and graduated from New Dorp High School on Staten Island, NY. He worked as an Investment Banker for Chemical Bank in NYC, NY and belonged to JP Stevens Credit Association for several years.
He enjoyed fishing and the Jersey Shore among other pursuits. Tom proudly served his country in the Army Reserves for a short time. Thomas is predeceased by his father Thomas A. Durkin, Jr., his son Jeffrey Durkin and his brother Edward Durkin. Surviving is his loving wife Elizabeth Durkin, his mother Claire Durkin, his son Matthew Durkin and his wife Heather of Long Branch, NJ and his sister Christine Watson of Staten Island, NY.
