Grammy and mother extraordinaire, Theresa “Terri” Busby passed away peacefully at home on May 1, 2021.

Born in Clinton, MA on May 29, 1929, to Mary and Francis Furlong, Terri then spent her childhood and early adult years in Fitchburg, MA. She loved school despite the nuns turning her away on the first day of first grade because she was too small; they told her to come back next year when she was bigger. She also loved dancing. She took lessons as a child, she danced during lunch in high school swinging to the big band classics and square danced with her husband, Jim, for many years.

Wearing a flattering black, wool coat, Terri caught Jim Busby’s eye at the GE plant in Fitchburg in 1953. They married in 1955 and began a family with son Jim, that grew to include his five loving sisters, Maureen, Maryjane, Judy, Betty and Peggy. The family moved to Danvers in 1964. Besides raising six great kids, Terri was one of the most active volunteers at St.

Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were one of the greatest joys of her life. Her smile was never bigger than when she was playing with them out in the yard or on the floor of her living room.

Besides her six children, Terri is survived by 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, her sister Ruth Connor (Jim) of Townsend, MA and several nieces, nephews and friends.
