THERESA LOUISE NELSON, 62, of Seville died Thursday morning, November 4, 2021, at Advent Health in Daytona Beach after a long illness.
Theresa was born in Deland to Jesse and Florence Ruth and was raised in Seville from the time she was very young. She attended schools in Crescent City and graduated from Taylor High School in Pierson in 1976 and earned her associate’s Degree from Keiser College in Daytona Beach. Theresa worked at In-Home Medical, Armellini Trucking Lines, Twin Gables, The Parker House, and Cow Catcher lounge and package stores. Her favorite job was being a homemaker.
She loved to cook, enjoyed her grandchildren, and took care of her animals.
She was preceded in death by her brother and his wife, Michael and Ruthie Ruth.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Rickey Nelson of Seville; sons, Michael Ruth of Emporia, Virginia, Brandon (Tarrin) Nelson of Crescent City; daughter, Courtney (Alex) Marriott of Chula Vista, California; brothers, Paul (Jan) Ruth and David (Renee) Ruth of Wray, Colorado; four grandchildren, Clayton Ruth, Chasidy Ruth, Landon Nelson, and Jesse Nelson.
