Troy – Theresa Cushing Knaupp, 95, died Monday, March 29, 2021, at here residence after a long illness.
Born in Plattsburgh, NY, she was daughter of the late Edward Cushing and Lillian Ellsworth Cushing and wife of the late John F. Knaupp. She was raised in Willsboro, NY, came to the Capital District in the early 1950’s and married in 1952. She was educated in Willsboro, NY.
Theresa was employed as a telephone operator for the New York Telephone Company for 42 years, retiring in 1988.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy.
Survivors include two sons, John J. (Gail Kriss) Knaupp, Troy and Richard A. (Susan) Knaupp, Esperance; five grandchildren, Ryan, Katelyn, Connor Robert and Carrie Knaupp and a great granddaughter , Hudson Rose Knaupp. She was predeceased by a son, Robert E. Knaupp; two sister, Ethel Bridge and Kathryn Smith and a brother, Edward ‘Bud’ Cushing.
