Theresa was born October 25, 1961 to Harrell and Joyce Yates in Goldsboro, NC. She loved her family, grandkids, and her church, Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church, that she attended regularly. Theresa recently achieved a personal goal that her family and friends are proud of her for. She loved going to the beach and mountains. Theresa was loved by many people and will be lovingly remembered as a beloved aunt.
Theresa was preceded in death by her father, Harrell Ross Yates; brother, Timothy Harrell Yates.
Theresa is survived by her mother, Joyce Yates; daughter, Charlotte Bartee of Boone, NC; brothers, Michael Ray Yates (Rose) of Durham, NC, Robert William Yates, Sr. of Durham, NC, Wester Gene “Ding-Ding” Yates of Durham, NC; sisters, Sherri Yates McClenny of Hillsborough, NC, Pamela Ross Yates of Calabash, NC; grandchildren, Kri’stah Vanhorne, Gavotte Bartee-Lompert.
