Theresa Ann Taylor Carter
January 19, 1936 – April 1, 2016

On April 1, 2016, Theresa Ann Taylor Carter, darling wife, outstanding mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, departed this earth to be in Heaven with our Savior surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Andover, VA, on January 19, 1936, to Wiley and Doshia Taylor. She met her best friend and childhood sweetheart in grade school. She married Charles Reeser Carter on June 12, 1958; they have two sons Rob (Eileen) Carter and James (Kaylene) Carter.

As a Military family, they traveled the world, including spending time in France and the South Pacific, eventually settling in Utah. She was very proud of her family and that all three of her men served in the Military Armed Forces.

Her family was the most important thing to her; she loved spending time with her grandkids, Brandi (Brandon) Smith, Tasha (Jared) Meakin, Krystle (Ryan) Bennett, Kristin Love, Whitney (Seth) Pearson, Cassie (Ethan) Diamond and Taylor Carter. She cherished her great-grandkids, Carson, Anakin, Gabe, Melody, Katelynn, Allison, Hayden, Ashton, Lindsey and Ryder.

She was an amazing seamstress, she created so many amazing crafts through the years and she loved teaching and sharing the love of crafting with her grandkids. She loved spending time in her garden and watching her birds. She enjoyed working for Gibson’s Discount Store, Hill Air Force Base BX and Kings Department Store where she made many friends.

She is survived by her husband Chuck “Charles”, sister-in-law, Giza Taylor, sons, Rob (Eileen), Jim (Kaylene), seven grandkids and ten great-grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents Wiley and Doshia Taylor, her brother James Taylor, sisters, Hycienth Hernberson, Louise Campbell, June Samson and Patty Gardner.

The family would like to thank friends, neighbors, Mindi with Visiting Angels and Teasha and the Envision Hospice staff for all the love and support given to our mom.
