Theresa Ann Doerrer Coleman, 55, of Salem passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Rt. 50 at Raccoon Run Road.
She was born April 5, 1961 in Oswego, NY; daughter of the late Bernhard A and Madeline McDonald Doerrer.
Theresa is survived by six children, Julia and Ben Steese of Minerva, OH, Suzanne Coleman of Salem, OH, Patrick Coleman, Michael Coleman, Emily Coleman and her boyfriend, Emmanuel “Manny” Hess, and Timothy Coleman all of Salem, “adopted” daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Jesse Hildebrand, and there daughters, Lily, Emma, and Kaylee all of Salem; three sisters, Margaret and Don Winfield of Binghamton, NY, Brigetta and Stephen Kohl of Saginaw, MI, and Jayne Andrews of Moravia, NY; father and mother-in-law, Ronald Hills and Marilyn Dombroski Coleman of Windsor, CT. Along with her parents, she was joined in death by her husband, of 35 years, Steven Ronald Coleman; two children, Paul and Abigail Coleman.
Theresa graduated from Marcellus High School in Marcellus, NY, and earned her Bachelors of Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. She enjoyed gardening, reading, collecting salt and pepper shakers and dishes. She loved her family and enjoyed being on the farm with the animals.
