Theresa Yacko Abbott, age 78, longtime resident of Milford and beloved wife to the late Regis C. Abbott, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Milford Hospital. She was born on January 10, 1933 in Bridgeport, CT. Prior to her retirement in 1986, Theresa was a dedicated waitress for Howard Johnson’s Restaurant on the Boston Post Rd. for over twenty years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and cooking and her very favorite holiday was Christmas. Theresa cared deeply for all types of animals and loved cultivating and caring for her house plants. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be greatly missed.
Theresa is survived by her daughter, Karen Pcolar (Brian) of Milford, a son Kevin R. Abbott (Elaine) of West Haven, two sisters, Betty Soltis of Shelton and Mary Yacko of Bridgeport, and three grandchildren, Corinne Abbott and Kellie and Brian Pcolar and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister and two brothers.
