Theresa Anne Tooman was born February 9, 1948 in Boise, Idaho to Marguerite and Wilfred Tooman. She passed away August 9, 2016 in Meridian, Idaho at the age of 68.
Theresa spent most of her childhood on small farm west of Boise with her grandmother, father, mother, and younger brother. She attended Franklin Grade School, West Junior High, and then Borah High from which she graduated in 1965. She continued her education at Boise College (now Boise State University) graduating Summa Cum Laude in premedical studies in 1968.
Theresa began her lifelong science and math teaching career at Asotin, Washington in the fall of 1970. A year later Theresa moved to the Boise School District to teach seventh grade science at North Junior High.
She returned to Boise in the fall of 1987 and substituted at Centennial High School. The following year she was hired into the Meridian School District and teaching continued there until her retirement in September of 2004.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Marguerite and Wilfred Tooman. She is survived by her brother Tim Tooman, his wife Paula, and their 16 children who live in Patterson, California.
