Theora Shoemaker, 97, of Virginia, IL died Monday, June 30, 2014, at her home.
She was born June 13, 1917 in Chandlerville, the daughter of Ernest and Una Pasley Dickey. She married Hubert L. Shoemaker on March 6, 1934 in Virginia and he preceded her in death on September 22, 1984.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Shoemaker of Virginia; a son, Hubert Shoemaker Jr. (wife, Alice) of Vail, AZ; two grandsons, Donald Eugene Shoemaker (wife, Martha) of Vail, AZ and Lewis Richard Shoemaker (wife, Diana) of Mayer, AZ; seven great grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Delbert, Earl, June, and William Dickey, and two sisters, Edna Logue and Mary Knowles.
Mrs. Shoemaker was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting.
