Theora M. Martin Welter, 86, Anderson, passed away January 6, 2009 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after a brief illness. She was born May 20, 1922 in Jay County, Indiana, and resided in Anderson since 1946. She had been a secretary/clerk for several companies in Madison County.
Theora was a member of the Anderson Church of the Brethren where she was very active. She bowled in the Monday Seniors at Cooper’s Sport Bowl and the Thursday 50 at Cooper’s Sport Bowl. She was a member of Idlewald Golf Club in Pendleton.
She is survived by her husband whom she married December 17, 1980, Donald R. Welter; two sisters, Alvada Snyder of Florida and Blendene Martin of North Manchester.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Minnie Frantz Martin; 1st husband, Charles Ellis; siblings, Galen Martin, Fred Martin, Eulala McLain, Elene Bender and Veva Shepard.
