Theodore Patrick Marrone

March 14, 1936 – January 10, 2019

Theodore (Ted) Patrick Marrone, 82, of Nampa passed away peacefully Thursday, January 10, 2019 at home, surrounded by his family.  He will be sorely missed.

Ted was born March 14, 1936 to Pasquale and Mary Marrone in Homestead, Pennsylvania.  He was the youngest of four children, joining brother Eugene and two sisters, Rosemarie and Gloria.  Mary moved Ted and his sisters to San Francisco in 1944.  He attended school at Star of the Sea Elementary, St. Vincent’s School for Boys, and graduated from Sacred Heart Cathedral High School in 1954.

In 1955 Ted joined the Navy and spent 4 years cruising the Pacific Ocean on the USS Bremerton in defense of our country during the Korean conflict.  It was on the Bremerton that he met his future brothers-in-law, John and Philip Ross who brought him home for dinner, where he met the love of his life, Barbara.

Ted and Barbara were married in 1961 and rented a duplex in Palo Alto for a short time during Ted’s apprenticeship as an electrician. Eventually purchasing a house in Sunnyvale, they went about the business of creating and raising a family. In 1974 Ted, Barbara and their brood of six kids moved to Idaho and bought a small farm in Nampa. Ted continued to work as an electrician until his retirement in 1998.

Ted is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara, his sister Gloria Primeaux, his children – Phillip (Valerie), Christopher (Jill), Anne (Mike), Mary (Stephen), Michelle, Kathleen and Catherine, 10 grandchildren, much extended family and many adoring fans.
