Theodore M. Bowser, 71, of Garrett, passed away on August 8, 2020, at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
Born in Fort Wayne, on March 1, 1949, to the late Theodore and Kathryn “Kate” (King) Bowser, Sr.
Theodore was married to Darlene Cox. She preceded him in death.
He worked for Waste Management for more than thirteen years as an industrial waste hauler.
He was a member of Freedom of Worship Church of God and Knight of Pythias. He was an activist for labor rights and was active in the 1996 landmark Bad Boys Decision.
Theodore is survived by five children, Theodore (Angie) Bowser, Terri (Randy) Welbaum, Robin (Brian) Minnick, Zhonn Bowser and Katie (Jeff Armitage) Bowser; 13 brothers and sisters; 15 grandchildren, Samantha (Justin) Gould, Dakota (Alexis Barr) Bowser, Daniel Bowser, Courtney Bowser, Madelynn Michel, Jacqlyn Minnick, Alexandria (Lucas) Kaiser, Laik Minnick, JazmIn Herrick, Aiden Bowser, Kolten and Landen Armitage, Kaleb Brunning and Layla Asaad; 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; an infant sister and a grandson, T.J. Bowser IV.
