Theodore George Carter February 22, 1938 – January 16, 2015 Theodore “Ted” G. Carter of Sierra Vista, AZ passed away on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2015 at the University Medical Center in Tucson. Ted had been a resident of Sierra Vista for 21 years. He and his wife, Donna, had moved here upon his retirement from a long military career in the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard. Ted had made many friends here, especially at the Elks Lodge where he had become a member in 2010. He was also a Mason of 33 years. Ted was born in Polson, Montana and lived in Montana and South Dakota where he was a ranger, a police officer and a member of the Guard for 21 years before entering active duty in the Army as a helicopter test pilot in 1981. He retired from the Army in 1994. He is survived by his wife, Donna G. Carter; his three daughters, Wendy Curry of Bismarck, North Dakota, Nancy Carter of Great Falls, Montana and Charla of Red lodge, Montana; his brothers, Lloyd Carter and Leonard “Wayne” Carter; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
