Theodore “Ted” Felter, of Livingston Manor, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. He was 86.
He was the son of the late Theodore R. Felter and Mable Deck, born on June 8, 1930 in Walton, NY.
Ted worked as a heavy equipment operator for Sullivan County Dept. of Public Works until he retired. He was a member and past chief and fire commissioner of the Livingston Manor Fire Dept.; a member of Hoos Truck Company; he was a 25 year member Red Vest, as well as a member of Livingston Manor’s Masonic Lodge and Presbyterian Church. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling, but above all else he enjoyed spending time with his family, particularly his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all, he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his children Susan Krupp and her husband James, Stephen Felter and his wife Debra and Eric Felter; his grandchildren: Jennifer Sabatini, James Krupp Jr. and Stacy Felter; his great-grandchildren: Avi-Ell, Tristin, Jade, Angie, Alana, James III, Megan, Lexi, and Sophie; and his companion Cruz Fuller. He is predeceased by his loving and devoted wife Virginia.
