It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother, sister and friend Thelma June Smith. Thelma passed away at St. Johns Regional Medical Center in Oxnard on June 20, 2011 with her family by her side.
Thelma was born on June 2, 1942 in Fillmore, California to Harry and Georgia (Caddell) Kelley. At the age of 16, Thelma went on a blind date, and it was love at first sight. After a small courtship, she married the love of her life William L. Smith. To this union, they were blessed with four children.
Thelma was a very active individual, she loved gardening, sewing, emroidering, painting, she was very artistic. Thelma was a looing, caring person, she was one who was always eager to help someone in need, she always wanted to take care of someone, no matter what the need was.
