Thelma P. Richardville, 85, of Vincennes, passed away June 26, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Hospital.
She was born February 23, 1927 in Knox County the daughter of Claude & Olivia DeBuisseret Lane. She was a 1945 graduate of St. Rose Academy. Upon graduation, she began her career with federal government with Army Corps of Engineers in Vincennes and she was transferred to the Louisville, KY office. She returned to Evansville, IN with the Social Security Administration, to be near her family to take care of her mother and younger sister, Linda Lane. She returned to Vincennes with the Social Security Administration and was part of the original staff that opened the Vincennes Social Security Office in 1950. She worked at the Vincennes office until her retirement in April of 1979 due to health issues and retired as a claims supervisor. She married Raymond Richardville on August 28, 1954 and they made their life together for nearly 51 years until his death. She was a devout member of the Old Cathedral Catholic Church and was active in various projects for the church.
She is survived by her sister, Linda Lane of Vincennes, IN and 19 Nieces and Nephews whom she felt pride in their accomplishments.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Richardville, Her parents, Claude & Olivia Lane, three brothers, Joseph Lane, Francis Lane and Paul Lane and a sister, Mary Jo Eskew.
