Thelma Lindner, 93, passed away at Moravian Village, Bethlehem, PA, on May 22, 2017. Born in Bethlehem PA, on August 20, 1923, she was a daughter of the late George and Viola (Schwartzbaugh) Lease. She attended Rosemont Lutheran Church in Bethlehem. Thelma was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1941.
She worked at Fairmont clothing store as a salesperson, in the office at Orr’s Department store and at First Valley Bank. Thelma was a Girl Scout leader and a volunteer at Muhlenburg Hospital and Musikfest for over 15 years and had a lifelong love of gardening and most things involving needle and thread. She loved her trips with Richard to Hawaii, China, Egypt, Great Britain, and all over Europe and the United States.
She was predeceased by her two brothers Kenneth and George Jr., her sister Mildred Behler and her son James Walters. She is survived by her second husband Richard and son; Thomas Walters and his wife Alice and daughter; Nancy McAtee and her husband John, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
