Mrs. Thelma Lee Davidson was born on October 10, 1943 to the late Rev. James and Irene Hatton in St. Joseph Louisiana. The family later relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana.

She completed her education in the Indianapolis Public School System and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School. She worked at Charoal Steakhouse for numerous years.  It was during this time started dating Harlis Davidson and they united in Holy Matrimony on February 5, 1966.

Thelma loved to cook, spend time with her family and travel with her husband. She was a devoted mother to her four children and a very devoted wife to her husband of fifty-four years.

She was a lead and background singer with the Family Gospel Singers for the last twenty-five years. To know her was to love her. She was soft spoken but knew how to get her point across.

Thelma departed this earthly to be with the Lord on Monday, December 7, 2020 at the age of seventy-seven years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. James & Irene Hatton; siblings, Francis Brown, Martha Hatton, Canary Jenkins, Laura Griffin, Clara Rollins, Moses Hatton, James Hatton, Jr. Jacob Hatton, Sr., Elder Mitchell Hatton and Hezekiah Hatton.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Harlis Davidson; children, Joseph Hatton, Lisa Davidson-Wales (Damon), Harlis Davidson, Jr. (Betty), Prince Davidson (Marva); siblings, Hattie Taylor, Mary Lewis, Lula McGraw, Louise Hatton, Pastor Earl Hatton, James Buter (Eva); 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
