Thelma Lee Aker, 60 of Paris, Texas became an Angel of God on January 31, 2014.
Thelma who was affectionately known as “Mrs. Dr. Pepper” was born in Big Spring, Texas on December 2, 1953 to the late Everett Henry Aker Sr. and Maffie Jean Carroll Aker. The family later moved to Paris where she attended Powderly High School in late Sixties and early Seventies. She married Joe Rosson who was her true soul mate and they ventured out to California for several years before moving back to Paris.
Thelma held several positions at plants around Paris during her younger adulthood. She was “Mrs. Donut” at Southern Maid Donuts for years.
Thelma was a beautiful person inside and out and with the biggest heart that anyone could ask for. She would give and not want anything in return. She lived a life that most would consider abnormal, but to her the little things that her family did made those big blue eyes shine and smile as big as Texas.
She was preceded in death by; her parents, Everett Henry Aker Sr. and Maggie Jean (Carroll) Aker of Paris, Texas; daughter, Rebecca Jolynn Rosson of Paris, Texas; her grandparents, Frank and Pearl (Baxter) James of Bogota, Texas; Jacob Henry Aker and Jessie Mae (Purdy) Aker of Abilene, Kansas.
She is survived by: her son, Joel Lee Rosson of Decatur, Alabama; three grandchildren, Clayton Len Bowen of Cooper, Texas, Jake Sawyer and Delaney Lee Rosson of Plymouth, Michigan; one sister, Wilma Jean Villa of Paris, Texas; two brothers, Everett Henry Aker Jr. of Paris, Texas and Andrew Alfred Aker of Houma, Louisiana.
