Thelma J. Barrett Williams was born January 15, 1935, to the late James Watson and Arnetta Barrett. And the wife of the late Leonard Williams.
Thelma was a devoted wife, sister, aunt and mother not only to her children but to all her nieces and nephews but to anyone that she could share her love with. She opened her home and her heart to anyone that was in need. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. Her persimmon pudding and banana pudding was loved by all.
She loved and attended church until her health started failing. She loved music, especially Lee Williams. She loved talking to anyone, encouraging and listening to them. She ministered through the work she did, as a care giver and a cook.
She leaves to cherish her memories six children:
Deborah Thompson (Junnie) of Seagrove, NC, James L. Barrett of Robbins, NC, Elaine Moore of Biscoe, NC, Shelia Williams and Richard Williams both of Robbins, NC and Jeff Williams of the home. Two brothers, Claudis Barrett of Biscoe, NC and Willis Barrett (Deborah) of Robbins, NC. One sister Marie Armstrong (Roger) of Mt. Gilead, NC. Two sisters in laws, Mattie Williams of Carthage, NC and Bessie Barrett of Star, NC. Thirty-one grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and other relatives and friends. And special thanks to Richmond County Hospice Nurse Miracle Gilmore.
