Thelma “Jo” Morey, 75, ascended into Heaven February 18, 2013. “You’re journey is over. The time is at hand, for you to go to the Promised Land; no more worries, no more strife; may you have a peaceful life.” Thelma was born March 25, 1937 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Thelma Crystal Wills and James Fredrick Olson. She graduated high school met and married Earl D. Morey in Lincoln, a marriage that lasted 57 years. As the wife of a military man, she was the “glue” that held the family together; strong and durable yet flexible when she needed to be She worked odd jobs on occasion but best of all she was “mom” and always there for her children. She was a life-long bowler and loved the camaraderie of the ladies she bowled with. When she experienced weakness in her right are this past year, she didn’t give up, she taught herself to bowl with her left arm because she loved the game so much.
