Thelma Irene Alexander Young was born in Lawrence County, Alabama on January 13, 1933 to the late Lucy Magnolia Taylor and Booker T. Alexander. She departed this life on November 4, 2012 at Lawrence Medical Center.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Freeman Tabernacle Baptist Church in Moulton, Alabama, where her membership remained until her death.
Thelma graduated from the Old Moulton School in 1952. She became a housewife in 1955 when she married the late Marshall T Young. To this union two children were born. She was a devoted wife and mother. A disease robbed her of all her wonderful thoughts and memories, and then God called her home to rest.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sister, Ester Lee.
Thelma leaves to cherish her memory: two children; Belinda Kay Young and Rick Young (Betty) both of Moulton; sister, Carlean Young (Earnest T.) of Moulton; brother, Richard Alexzander (Rosa) of Moulton; four sisters-in-law, Minnie Gholston of Trinity, Annie Fae Gossett of South Carolina, Louise Jones of Moulton and Samella Young of Aliquippa, PA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
